Pensacola, Fla. man arrested Dec. 17 on possession of marijuana charges

A Pensacola, Fla. man was arrested Dec. 17 on possession of marijuana charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Donnie Gardner, 46, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana I due to a previous conviction for possession of marijuana.

McMann said at approximately 10:25 p.m. on the day of the arrest, an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street in reference to observing a signal light violation.

“During the officer’s interaction with the driver of the vehicle, he noted suspicious behavior from the passenger (Gardner),
McMann said. “ The officer was given permission to search the vehicle.”

McMann said during the search of the vehicle, the officer discovered nearly a dozen grams of marijuana.

Gardner was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
