Flomaton man arrested Dec. 21 on multiple drug charges

A Flomaton man was arrested Dec. 21 on multiple drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Justin White, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said on Saturday at approximately 9:35 a.m., an APD officer conducted a traffic stop on Robinsonville road in reference to a moving violation.

“When the officer contacted the driver (White), the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from White’s vehicle,” McMann said. “The officer had White exit the vehicle to conduct a probable cause search.”

McMann said during the search of the vehicle, the officer discovered clonazepam, a small amount of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and items used to ingest and package narcotics.

White was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
