Williams Is Winner Of Golf Tourney
H.C. Williams, Atmore post-master, won the championship flight in the Atmore Country Club's 20th annual golf tournament played on the local club's links last Thursday.

2 Atmoreans Win Races At Flomaton Saturday
Bo Pierce of Flomaton won the helmet dash, Ricky Copeland of Atmore won the first heat race, Foots Kimmons of Milton finished first in the second heat, and Raymond Lambeth of Flomaton placed first in the mechanics race.
Flomaton Mishap
Seven boxcars in a L&N freight train derailed at 2:13 P.m. Monday in downtown Flomaton, striking a power line and causing a blackout in the downtown area for several hours. No one was injured in the wreck.

The 12th annual Alabama Blueberry Festival will be held Saturday, June 20, at the Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shady campus opens its doors to thousands of festival visitors each year.
