Mr Al C. Williams Sr., 78, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at his residence.
He was a native of Frisco City and current resident of Atmore. He was a U. S. Army veteran, retired welder with Alabama Dry Docks and a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Addie Lee Williams; three sisters, Temple Williams White, Navada Taylor and Ruby Hall and three brothers, Charlie Williams, Jay Williams and Coleman Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Sylvia Williams of Atmore; two daughters, Florestine Knight of Mobile and Betty Henderson of Dallas, Texas; two step-daughters, Delois Johnson and Meacheal Hazley, both of Atmore; two sons, Al C. Williams Jr. of Atmore and Michael Williams of Mobile; five step-sons, Ernest Hazley, Mickeal Hazley, Gary Hazley, and Albert Hazley, all of Atmore and William Hazley of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a sister, Lola Mae Andrews of Maryland; three brothers, Johnny WIlliams of Detroit, Mich., Nathaniel Williams of Atlanta, Ga. and Leon Williams of Frisco City; 42 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 20 from 1 to 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21 at 2 p.m. at New Order Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Sidney Grant officiating.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
