Mr. Kelvin Jerome Stevens, 31, of Atmore died Monday, August 26, 2002, at Mobile Infirmary.
He was a lifelong resident of Stockton and member of Zion Fountain AME Zion Church. He had worked as a loader with Standard Furniture Company in Bay Minette.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ms. Gasque Mae Joseph.
Mr. Stevens is survived by his mother, Mary Ledell Stevens of Stockton; four sisters, Yvonne Stevens, Yolanda Stevens, Sharon Ingram and Marilyn Horace, all of Stockton; six brothers, Derrick Stevens of Wilmington, Del., Clavis Stevens of Fort Hood, Texas, Melvin Smith Jr. and Kenneth Smith, both of Stockton and the Rev. Willie James Smith of Daphne and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 31 at 2 p.m. at Zion Fountain AME Zion Church in Stockton with the Rev. Richard L. Dockery officiating.
Burial was at Robinson Cemetery. Pallbearers were freinds of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
