Tyrus Raymond Cobb, Jr., of Atmore, is among the 1,065 graduates who will receive degrees on Saturday at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla.
Cobb will earn a BBA in management degree.
The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), founded in 1890, is located on a 210-acre campus in Edmond, a northern suburb of Oklahoma City. UCO is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as a bachelor's and a master's degree granting institution.
The fall graduates include 811 being granted bachelor's degrees and 254 master's degrees.
Educational Communications has selected nine college students from Atmore and 30 college students from the surrounding communities to be included in its 25th Annual Edition of The National Dean's List, 2001-2002, a publication devoted to recognizing college students.
Students are selected by their college deans, registrars or honor societies and must be in the upper 10% of their class, on their school's dean's list or have earned a comparable honor.
The students are eligible to compete for $50,000 in scholarship awards funded by the publisher. The list is used by more than 2,500 colleges and universities nationwide to identify qualified students.

The University of Southern Mississippi's Beta Sigma chapter of the Kappa Delta Sorority has selected Atmore native Molly Malone to serve as their president. Malone, a 2000 graduate of Escambia County High School, will serve the chapter during the 2003 term.
Malone is a journalism major with an emphasis in public relations. While attending USM, she has been on the Dean's List each semester and is also involved as a Student Government Association Senator and is the Diamond Darling Captain for the USM baseball team.
Malone is the daughter of Ted and Dawn Malone, granddaughter of Barbara Dickerson, great-granddaughter of Lucille Howell and the late W.C. Howell, and the granddaughter of Hugh Malone and the late Mary Lou Malone, all of Atmore.
