Leslie Bryars

Funeral services for Leslie Bryars, 85 and a resident of Perdido, were held on Dec. 23, 2002 in the Atmore Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Scott Brook and Sister Thursia Long officiating. Interment followed in the Bryars-McGill Cemetery.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he attended the Church of God. He died on Dec. 22, 2002 at South Baldwin County Regional Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Bryars; three sons, Mason Bryars and Ronnie Bryars of Perdido and Hubert Lee Bryars of Atmore; four daughters, Barbara Ann Davis, Judy Welch and Paulette Bass, all of Bay Minette, and Mazie Thompson of Houston, Texas; four stepsons, Randy Jay of Monroeville, Ronnie Jay of Frost Proof, Fla., and Roger and Robin Jay, both of Atmore; two stepdaughters, Linda Johnson of Atmore and Charlene Pugh of Poarch; a brother, J.T. Bryars of Atapulgus, Ga.; two sisters, Jessie Turner of Milton and Melba Salter of Marlo, Ala.; 34 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Minnie E. Jordan

Funeral services for Minnie E. Jordan, 84 and a resident of Pensacola, will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jesse Shackleford officiating. Interment will follow in Robinsonville Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends today at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m.
She was a homemaker, born in Atmore on May 16,1918 to the late Frank and Janie Griffith Wearren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. "Pete" Jordan, Jr. She is survived two daughters, Sara Ann Jordan of Baton Rouge, La., and Mary Elizabeth Jordan (E.J.)Wales of Pensacola; one grandson, Donald Gordon (Donna) Lee, Jr., of Pensacola; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine and Alicia Lee, all of Pensacola; and several nieces and nephews. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of all arrangements.

Funeral services for April Lynn Sharritt, 32 and of Dayton, Texas, were at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ray Hines officiating. Interment followed at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton, Texas.
She had lived in Dayton for the last six months, previously lived in Bula, Fla. for 10 years, was a native of Houston and was employed as a recruiter at Truckers Express in Houston.
She was the daughter of Larry Taylor of Channelview, Texas and Barbara (Singleton) Egner and her husband Karl of Dayton, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Sharritt of Bula, Fla.; her grandmother, Lorraine Etheridge of Atmore; two daughters, Sarah Taylor and Maggie Sharritt of Dayton, Texas; one son, Jacob Taylor of Dayton, Texas; one sister, January (Travis) Snyder of Dayton, Texas; one brother, L.D. Taylor of Channelview, Texas; her children's nana and pa, Stanley and Jeanie Singleton of Atmore; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Arrangements were handled by Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.
