Funeral services for Leon A. Weber, 57 and a resident of Columbus, Ohio, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James Weber and Rev. Martin Weber officiating. Interment will follow at Freemanville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday night at Atmore Memorial Chapel.
He is survived by his wife Susan S. Weber and parents Martin and Anna Weber; one son, Anthony J. (Shelia) Weber; two daughters, Sonya R. (Jon) Miller and Caitriona Dowd; two brothers, James Weber of Atmore and Phillip Weber of Ohio; four sisters, Mary Jane (Calvin) Schrock of Atmore, Ruth Ann (Alvin) Yoder of Ohio, Velma (Arlin) Schrock of Mobile and Joyce (Robert) Suter of Ohio; and three grandchildren. Atmore Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
Roman N. "Sonny" Yoder

Funeral services for Roman N. "Sonny" Yoder, 60 and a resident of Atmore, will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, 2003 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Frank Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Freemanville Cemetery. Family will receive friends tonight at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Born on Feb. 3, 1942 to Noah and Ida Yoder, he was a saleman for Amway.
He is survived by his parents, Noah and Ida Yoder of Atmore; two brothers, Paul Yoder of Atmore, and John (Brenda) Yoder of Pensacola; two sisters, Miriam (Roy) Classen of Walnut Hill and Barbara (James) Ward of Flomaton; nephews Kevin Classen of Atmore, Jonathon Yoder and Scott Wynn, both of Pensacola, Jamison Ward and Andrew Ward, both of Flomaton; nieces Denise Beachy of Columbus, Ohio, Andrea Wagler of Sarasota, Fla., and Jaunita Classen of Atmore. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
William Royce
"Ross" Jackson

Funeral services for William Royce "Ross" Jackson, 70 and a resident of Atmore, were held Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral home Chapel with Bro. Leo Luker officiating. Interment followed in New Home Cemetery at Poarch.
Born in Bay Springs, Fla., on Dec. 13, 1932 to the late C.E. and Ruby Odom Jackson, he was a manager in produce.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian McGhee Jackson of Atmore; three sons, Ronnie Ray Jackson of Bay Minette and Archie Ray Jackson and William D. Jackson, both of Atmore; one daughter, Wanda Sue Jackson of Atmore; two brothers, Ed Jackson and Frank Jackson, both of Stapleton, Ala.; three sisters, Eloise Coleman of Walnut Hill and Pearl Alford and Nell Hall, both of Perdido; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Bessie Conway Booker

Funeral services for Bessie Conway Booker, 92, were held on Jan. 11, 2003 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. T.J. Farlow officiating. Interment followed at Robinsonville Cemetery.
A native of Flomaton and a resident of Atmore since 1939, she was a retired employee with Vanity Fair after 15 years and attended the St. Paul Community Church. She died on Jan. 9, 2003 in Atmore.
She is survived by her son, Huey Pierce Conway, Sr., of Atmore; her daughter, Elsie Juanita and husband Davis Jarman of Atmore; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and three cousins.
Pallbearers were Thomas Davis, John Davis, Pierce Conway, Jr., Lamar Tillery, Jr., Lamar Tillery, Sr., and Charles Edwards.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Lou Coleman

Mary Lou Coleman, 80 and a resident of Uriah, died on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003 at Monroe Co. Hospital in Monroeville. Funeral arrangement will be announced at a later day by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Lakita Monaye McDowell

Funeral services for Lakita Monaye McDowell, an infant and resident of Atmore, were held Friday, Jan. 10, 2003 at Abundant Life Church of Deliverance with Pastor Carolyn M. Banks officiating. Interment followed at Mutual Aid Cemetery in Bay Minette.
She is survived by her father and mother, Deroy McDowell and Tamara Thomas, both of Atmore; two brothers, ShaMicheal Brown and Jaquan Thomas, both of Atmore; grandparents Peter G. and Mary A. Darrington, both of Atmore; a great-grandfather, Ed Brown of Bay Minette; and a great-grandmother, Emma Jean Morrison of Bay Minette.
Active pallbearers were friends and family. Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
Elmore Collins Stevens

Funeral services for Elmore Collins Stevens, 89 and a resident of Stockton, were held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 at Zion Fountain AME Zion Church with Rev. R.L. Dockery, Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Robinson Cemetery in Stockton.
After serving in World War II, Stevens worked as a custodian and a bus driver for the Baldwin County Board of Education.
He was preceded in death his mother, Mary Gabrella Clark and father, Collins Gaston Stevens; a brother, Leon Stevens; and a sister, Gasque Mae Stevens.
He is survived by two daughters, Ann Lesley and Lenora Montgomery, both of Chicago and seven grandchildren. Active pallbearers were friends and family members. Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
