The Ladies of Essence Mardi Gras Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, winding its way around parts of downtown before heading to Houston Avery Park.
The parade will line up in the parking lot at City Hall, then head down Church Street to Main, where it will turn right. The route will then travel down Main to Ashley, where it will again turn right.
Revelers will then go down Ashley to Carver, making a left on Carver and heading to Houston Avery Park.
The public is invited to both attend and participate in the parade. Anyone wanting to ride in the parade should bring their vehicle to the parking lot of City Hall by 9 a.m.
