Registration for local youth baseball leagues will be held at the same time on Saturday at Atmore City Hall. Details on the league are as follows:
Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball
Registration for the Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball League will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Atmore City Hall.
The league is open to players ages 7-12. The playing age is determined by the age of the player prior to Aug. 1, 2003.
Atmore Babe Ruth Baseball
Registration for the Atmore Babe Ruth Baseball League will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Atmore City Hall.
The league is open to players between the ages of 13 and 19. The playing age is determined by the age of the player prior to Aug. 1, 2003.
Atmore Babe Ruth Softball
The Atmore Babe Ruth Softball League will hold registration on March 8, March 15 and March 22 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. each day at Elite Sporting Goods.
The league is open to all girls ages 6-18, and birth certificates must be provided for first time players. The league emphasizes exercise, skill development and fun for families, players and friends.
Cost for the league is $35 per player.
M.L.K. Little League
Registration for the M.L.K. Little League will be held at Houston Avery Park in the Progressive Civic Center on two consecutive Saturdays.
Registration will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on March 8 and again on March 15. Boys and Girls Minor League (9-10 years of age), Major League (11-12 year old) and Junior League (13-14 year old) registration will be held.
Each child must be registered by a parent of guardian, and families must provide a birth certificate and proof of residence.
