McMillan visits Atmore Tuesday

Two state leaders will be winding their way through the county this week taking an opportunity to meet with residents throughout the area.
Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries John McMillan will visit Escambia County Tuesday with stops in Atmore, Flomaton and Brewton.
McMillan will be the special guest at 7:30 a.m. in Atmore for the Breakfast Before Hours event hosted by the Atmore Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held at United Bank on Nashville Avenue.
Following the breakfast meeting, McMillan will be taking a plant tour offering local farmers and opportunity for a question and answer period. The plant tour will be held at the Tri-County Peanut location on Dreadin Lane I Atmore. The tour and forum will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
A noon meeting in Flomaton will give Flomaton area residents and opportunity to meet with McMillan. The event will be held at the Escambia County Bank on Ringold Street from noon to 1 p.m.
McMillan will finish his trip through the county in Brewton with the Escambia County GOP group will host a reception in his honor. The event, planned from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., will be held at the Hourglass on St. Joseph Avenue in downtown Brewton.
The Hourglass in Brewton will also be the location for a special reception held in honor of U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions Friday.
The event is set from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
