EA goes 4-4 during week

The Escambia Academy Cougars played three times between April 11 and 15 to improve their record t0 4-4.
On April 11, the Cougars played at Calvary, winning 14-2 in five innings. Steven Shirley pitched the entire game, allowing three hits and two runs while walking two and striking out five. Offensively for the team, Bradford Price was 2-2 with three runs scored and one walk, Josh Morgan was 1-2 with one run and one walk, Shirley was 0-3 with two runs and an RBI, Jace Beasley was 1-2, Buckie Dawson was 2-3 with one run scored, Matt Amerson was 1-1, JR Hall was 2-3 with one run scored, Cody White was 1-3 with one run scored, Billy McCann was 3-3 with two runs scored, and Cole Norton was 1-2 with three runs scored and a walk.
On April 14, the Cougars lost at Jackson Academy, 15-1. Joseph Drew pitched the first two innings, allowing five hits and seven runs and walking. Beasley pitched the final three innings of play. allowing five hits, eight runs, and striking out one. Offensively, Price was 2-3 with one stolen base, Morgan was 1-3 with one walk and a stolen base Beasley was 1-3 with one stolen base, and Zach Smith had two stolen bases.
On April 15 at home, EA defeated Lowndes 11-3. Dawson pitched seven innings, allowing four hits, three runs, three walks, and striking out seven. Price was 4-3 with two runs scored, Morgan was 2-4 with two runs scored, Shirley was 0-4 with one RBI, Beasley was 2-4 with three runs scored and two RBI, Dawson was 1-3 with one run scored and one walk, McCann was 1-4 with one run scored, White was 1-4 with one run scored, Drew was 1-4 with one run scored, and Norton was 0-3 with three RBI.
The Cougars will play again on the road against Mobile Christian on Monday and against Evangel Christian on Tuesday.
