Northview loses opener to Jay

In spite of an incredible effort by O'Nell Dubose, Northview could not hold on against Jay, and went home with a 34-21 loss, making the Chiefs 0-1 on the season.
Dubose ran for three touchdowns, and lead the team in rushing with 22 carries for 103 yards. Trey Mims lead the defense with six tackles and five assists.
Jay led the game 14-7 at the half. Northview took quarterback Nick Driver out and put Jeremy Greenwell in in the second half, where he went 4 of 9, and had 94 yards. He also attempted three PAT, and made 3 points.
Phillip Eubanks had four solo tackles, two assists and one fumble recovery.
Northview will play Vernon at home Sept. 12. The game kicks off at 7:30.
