The Escambia County Blue Devils took their show on the road to Tuskegee where they beat the Golden Eagles 18-7.
In the first quarter, Chris Simpson scored on a running play, taking the score to 6-0. The PAT was no good, and in spite of three fumble recoveries in the quarter for the Devils, it ended 6-0.
In the second quarter, a second touchdown was scored, and the PAT missed, taking the score to 12-0, Devils.
Delron Staples had an excellent half at middle linebacker.
The third quarter was uneventful, with neither team scoring, but the fourth made up for it when the Eagles scored on a long run and the point after was good, taking the game to 12-7. With only a few minutes left in the game, Calvin Hartley threw to Harvey Knight for six more points, making the final score 18-7.
