Mr. Winston C. "Buddy" Baker, 72, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Atmore.
Mr. Baker was a resident of Atmore. He was a deacon of Robinsonville Baptist Church, Escambia County road foreman and had served in the U. S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jerrylin Janice Baker of Atmore; two sons, Wayne Baker and his wife, Diane and Eddie Baker and his wife Patricia, all of Bratt; a daughter, Denise Chason and her husband Paul, of Bratt; two brothers, Marvin Baker of Pensacola and Junior Baker of Atmore; six grandchildren, Miranda Brooks and her husband, Brad, of McDavid, Scottie Baker and his wife, Tarran, of Vocaville, Calif., Troy Baker and his wife, Lesley, of Mobile and Christy Chason, Kevin Chason and Ryan Chason, all of Bratt and four great-grandchildren, Tylor Brooks and Taner Brooks of McDavid, Taylor Baker of Vocaville and Kaleb Baker of Mobile. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12 at 10 a.m. at Robinsonville Baptist Church with Dr. DeWitt Allen and Dr. Frank Taylor officiating.
Active pall bearers will be Scottie Baker, Troy Baker, Weldon Vickrey, Donald Wayne Rolin, Gary Singleton, David Smith and Kevin Chason. Honorary pall bearers will be Willie James Warren, Jim Vinson, Bill Reaves, Joe Frank Kearley, Edwin Fore and Wallace Nesmith. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
