Mr. Walter James Dow, 46, died Monday, July 3, 2000 in California.
Mr. Dow was a resident of Mappleville, Ala. He had served in the U.S. Air Force and was a truck driver for Bama West Trucking.
Mr. Dow is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Fails Dow of Mappleville; two step-sons, Mark Howard Neal and Scott William Neal and his wife, Susan, all of Excel; four step-grandchildren, Ashley Neal, Adam Neal, Brandon Neal and Lauren Neal; his mother-in-law, Tennie Fails of Atmore; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Earline Byrd and her husband, Chester of Atmore, Corneila Mills of Niceville, Aline Kirby and her husband Tommy of Evergreen, Luther Fails and Donnie Fails and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 13 from 1 to 2 pm. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will follow.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pall bearers will be Charles Johns, Dennis Terry, Stan Goff, Heith Clark, Chad McDonald and Greg Foley. Honorary pall bearers will be James Friday and O'Neal Caton.
