Mr. Roy Thomas Daw, 84, of Robinsonville, died Saturday at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Robinsonville on August 27, 1919 to the late Thomas and Callie Childress Daw. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Daw.
He is survived by one son, Stoney W. Daw of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter, Doris D. Godwin of Molino, Fla.; one sister, Ruth Crappenzano of Winter Haven, Fla.; two grandsons, Stoney Daw, Jr. and Thomas A. Daw; one granddaughter, Wanda Sue Carlson; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marlin Sanford officiating. Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery.

Cecil Clark Davison

Mr. Cecil Clark Davison, 88, of Atmore, died Nov. 23. He was retired as a Shop Foreman with Escambia Farm Equipment, born in Escambia County, Ala. on March 16, 1915 to the late Joseph Ervin and Lula Mattie Helton Davison.
He was preceded in death by his two wives, Donna Mae Carter Davison and Essie Lee Goodson Davison, and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by two daughters, Betty Elizabeth Pike, of Guntersville, and Margaret Ellen Johns, of Canoe; three grandchildren, Donna Michelle Sillo, Stephen Ward Morgan and Eric Lee Johns; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Neil Ellsworth, Zachery Wayne Hadley and Cody Lee Johns; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Nov. 26 from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jesse Wood officiating. Burial followed in Robinsonville Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Lambert, James Bell, Wayne Cummings, Leon Crawford, Frank Pike and Chester Johns.

Irene Packer Elliott

Mrs. Irene Packer Elliott, 88, of Perdido, died Sunday at her residence. She attended school at Pine Crest School in Perdido. She was a member of Morning Dove Baptist Church, where she served as Church Treasurer until her health failed. She was the "mother" of her church. During WWII she worked at Brookley Field as an assembly line worker and later as a custodian at Wayne Hospital in Detroit, Mich., until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon L.C. Elliott, Sr.; parents State and Margaret Packer; and one son, Robert Elliott. She is survived by one son, Lawrence Elliott, of Lithonia, Ga.; two brothers, Lewis Packer, of Atmore, and Joe Lee Packer, of Mobile; grandchildren, Catonia Vann and Owen Elliott, both of Inkster, Mich., Darrell Elliott of Detroit, Mich., Latrecia Reid of Chicago, Ill., and Lawrence Elliott, Jr., of Lithonia, Ga.; sister-in-law, Emily Packer, of Perdido; devoted nieces and nephews, Daisy Armstead, Pat Dozier, Mary Fagin, Eloise King, Wanda Knight, Erskine Packer and Thomas Packer; seven great-grandchildren; and devoted friends, Lorenzo Graham, the Woods family, the Coleman family and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 22 at Morning Dove Baptist Church with Rev. Lawrence Cox officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Shiloh Cemetery in Nokomis. Active pallbearers were Darell Elliott, Owen Elliott, Erskine Packer, Leroy Knight, Jr., Jimmy Armstead, and Jerome Maxwell. Honorary Pallbearers were Deacon Alphonso Austin and Deacon Elbert Dozier.
