The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts (GECA) will be holding auditions for their next production, “A Cab Fare to Remember,” which is set to debut during the 2011 Christmas season.

Auditions will be held at the GECA building on the corner of Trammell St. and Nashville Ave., Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m.

This year’s Christmas play was written by local playwright Gene Embry.

Officials with GECA said the play features Christmas carols and those wishing to try out should be prepared to perform around 16 bars of his or her choice.

GECA would like to encourage the public to come and audition.
