Escambia Academy opened its new track facility by hosting Northview Highschool and Mobile's Faith Academy in a track meet Thursday afternoon. "We're really proud of this new track, and we're thankful we have it to use and share," said Bert Rice, EA's track coach. Faith, the defending AISA state champion in track won the overall competition in boys and girls categories.
On the same day, EA's baseball and softball teams hosted Northview in simultaneous games. Northview prevailed over EA by a score of 3-0.
EA's baseball team got revenge, powering its way past Northview by a score of 6-0.
