H.G. Cotton and Melanie Cotton-Beahm will be appearing at the Atmore Public Library for a book signing of Living in the River from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sept. 4
The Walker-Kirby reunion will be held at the Byrneville Community Center on September 04. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Bring a covered dish and enjoy lunch and fellowship with family and friends. Contact L. A. Gohagan @ 368-1744 for more information.
The Cyrus and Mary Cooper-White descendants reunion will be held at the Splinter Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church starting at 10 a.m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The church is located on Splinter Hill Road, exit 45 off I-65. For more information, call 937-8020.

The first meeting of the Escambia County Retired Teachers Association will be Thursday, September 9 at 11:00a.m. at the Brewton Motor Inn. All education retires and anyone else interested in public education are invited to attend this meeting. After the meeting a Dutch treat Luncheon will be available for those who wish to eat. Guest speaker will be Joe L. Reed.

The Pensacola Model Railroad Club will be holding it's 2nd Annual Train Show on Saturday &Sunday, September 11th &12th at the Hadji Shrine Temple. The address is 800 West Nine Mile Road just north of Pensacola and off of Hwy. #29. This is a two day event and will begin at 10 AM and go to 6 PM both days. Admission – Adult $5 a day, Children under 12 FREE!
