The Spay/Neuter Intervention Project of Escambia County has been extended until Nov 15, 2004, due to hurricane Ivan. If you have an Alabama Medicaid or Food Stamp Card, you are eligible for a Snip Certificate from any Escambia County Veterinarian. Also, those people that received an EBT card because of hurricane Ivan also qualify for the certificate with use of that card. You may have two pets per card. Copay amounts are $40 for dogs and $25 for cats. If vaccines are needed, there will be a $20 copay. The project is funded by the Alabama Animal Control Association and by PetSmart charities, PETCO Foundation and private donors. Call 251-368-9349 for info.

HILL( Hepatitis is living life)- Hepatitis Support Group and Man to Man prostate cancer support group will meet on Tuesday, November 2nd at 6:30p.m. in the Education Center at D. W. Walnut Hill Vol. Fire Department's annual catfish fry will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walnutt Hill fire station in Walnut Hill, Fla. Price is $6 per plate The Northwest Florida Blood Center will be there for those who wish to donate blood.

Escambia County High School's Future Business Leaders of America Club will be sponsoring a 1st annual Mr. ECHS Pageant on Saturday, November 6th at 6:00p.m. The Admission cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. We are inviting everyone, who would like, to attand. We are asking that you come out and support our pageant.

E.C.H.S to host a Veterans Day program Monday, November 8th at 10:00a.m. Herbert Barnes Football Stadium. All veterans and local military personnel (active or retired) are encouraged to attend.

Members of the Walnut Hill Puritan Club invite the public to join them in observance of Veteran's Day November 11th at the Walnut Hill Community Center between 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. Refreshments will be served along with opportunity to view the updated Veterans Honor Wall. The Huxford Volunteer Fire Department will be having their annual turkey shoot on Saturday, November 13th at the huxford elementary school. It will start at 9:00a.m. and end at 2:00p.m. the cost will be $2.00 per shot. All proceeds will go to the Fire Department.
