Halualani named new Advance publisher

Krichelle Halualani has been named the publisher of the Atmore Advance and Escambia and the president of Atmore Newspapers Inc. She began work Thursday.
Halualani comes to Atmore after having served as the advertising director at the Alexander City Outlook for more than a year. Prior to her work at Alexander City, Previously, she was with the Northwest Florida Daily News in Forth Walton Beach, Fla.
During her time in Alexander City, Halualani was a member of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce and a member of Leadership Lake Martin.
She hails from Hawaii and has two children, Emerald who is 10, and Forest who is 12.
"We're excited to bring Krichelle to the Atmore Advance," said Michele Gerlach, vice president of Boone Newspapers Inc. and publisher of the Advance's sister paper, the Brewton Standard.
