Atmore – Amanda Dailey, 93 of Atmore died Feb. 7 at Atmore Community Hospital. Viewing will be Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Chapel and Services will be held at 1 p.m.
Curtis Harris
Atmore – Curtis Harris 88 of Atmore died Feb. 6 at his residence of heart failure. Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Robinson FuneralChapel. Service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church
Morris Norman Bos
Atmore – Mr. Morris Norman Bos, age 76, passed away Friday, February 4 in Atmore. He was a native of Yakima County, Wash. and a contractor with Bos Builders.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Lee Colbert Bos of Atmore; two sons, Michael Wayne Bos of San Dimas, Calif. and Morris Randel Bos of Covina, Calif.; one daughter, Debra Ann Bos Rogers of San Dimas; one brother, Kenneth Wayne Bos of Yuma, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Kevin Rogers, Bryan Rogers, Michael Adam Bos and Kenneth Wayne Bos; and a special friend Larry Steel.
Graveside services were held Monday, February 7 in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Uriah, with Speakers, Michael, and Kenneth Bos officiating. The family received friends Sunday, February 6 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Danny Dewayne Ferrell
Huxford – Mr. Danny Dewayne Ferrell, age 38, passed away Friday, February 4 in Silas, Ala. Mr. Ferrell was a native of Atmore, a lifetime resident of Huxford, and attended the Huxford Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Ferrell of Huxford; his parents, Daniel and Mildred Ferrell of Huxford; two sisters, Debbie Hilburn of Little River and Tammy Barnes of Frisco City; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 7 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Chapman officiating.
Graveside services followed at Huxford Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brandon Reed, Justin Lambert, Freddie Hilburn, Shannon Tuberville, Ricky Powell, and David Powell.
Honorary pallbearers were Edward Hayles, Rick Powell, and Lamar Hayles.
Lonnie Luvern Lashley
Century – Mr. Lonnie Luvern Lashley, 71, passed away Sunday, February 6 in Century.
Mr. Lashley was a native and former resident of Apalachicola, Fla. and a resident of Century for the past 45 years. He was retired from the Florida Highway Patrol after serving from 1959 to 1979, the former Chief of Police of the Century Police Department, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Lee Lashley of Byrneville; two sons, Edwin Luvern Lashley and Steven Allen Lashley, both of Century; his daughter, Teresa Gaynell Bethea of Byrneville; a brother, Ronnie Rudeen Lashley of East Point, Fla.; two sisters, Lyndal Lee Lashley of Apalachicola and Mary Virginia Pace of Century' seven grandchildren, Stevie, Chad, Amber, Misti, Chase, Emanuel, and Caleb; and six great-grandchildren, Ansley, Trinity, Kaley, Taylor, Brody, and Chelsi; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 9 at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Shelton Kindig officiating. Graveside services will follow at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation was held Tuesday, February 8 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be the Florida Highway Patrol.
Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Brown.
James Lavon Jernigan
Atmore – Mr. James Lavon "Buddy" Jernigan, age 59, passed away Friday, February 4 in Atmore.
Mr. Jernigan was a native of Bratt, Fla. and a resident of Atmore for the past 30 years. He attended the Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Earline Jernigan of Atmore; two sons, Jim Jernigan of Perdido and Joe Busby of Atmore; his daughter, Tracy Rhodes of Niceville, Fla.; a sister, Liley Driskell of Byrneville; a brother-in-law, James Searcy of Atmore; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 7 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Harrison officiating. Graveside services followed at Godwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Allen Driskell, Terry Blanton, Elyan Blanton, Jeremy Johnson, Chris Henderson, and Louis Screws.
Charlie L. Lee
Bay Minette – Miss Charlie L. Lee, age 89, passed away Monday, February 7 in Bay Minette. She was a native of Canoe.
She is survived by two sisters, Myrtle Robinson and Annie Knowles, both of Bay Minette; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday, February 8 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Bro. J.P. Lambert officiating. Graveside services followed in Canoe Freewill Baptist Cemetery. The Family received friends prior to the service.
