Betty Benjamin
Enterprise, Ala. – Mrs. Betty Benjamin, 63, passed away May 9 at the Medical Center in Enterprise. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, at Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore, with Elder and Pastor Theolonias Smith officiating. Graveside services followed at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore. Visitation was held May 13 at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Benjamin was a native of Monroe, had formerly lived in Atmore, and had been a resident of Enterprise for many years. She attended school in Escambia County, Ala., and was employed with Pilgrim Pride for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carrie Roberts, and her brother, Carl Roberts. She is survived by a daughter, Connie McKenzie of Enterprise; six sisters, Pastor Frankie Austin of Geneva, Ala., Carolyn Frye of Uriah, Ala., Missionary Linda Steen of Pensacola, Evangelist Cindy Stokes of Atmore, Mary Brought of Detroit, Mich., and Sherry Collins of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Apostle D.G. Taylor and his wife, Mother Velma; and two grandsons.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
Elizabeth Fore Caylor
Atmore – Mrs. Elizabeth Fore Caylor, 72, passed away Saturday, May 7. Funeral services were held Monday, May 9 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Graveside services followed at Serenity Garden Cemetery.
Mrs. Caylor was a native of McWilliams, Ala., and a resident of Atmore since 1953. She was a member of the Domino Club and attended the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, George L. Caylor of Atmore; her son Rob Caylor and his wife, Jolene, of Dothan; two daughters, Sharon Freeman and her husband, Tommy, of Maryville, Tenn., and Karen Daniel and her husband, Cereal, of Atmore; a brother, Walter Robert Fore of Atmore; two sisters, Linda Trawick and Carolyn O'Neal, both of Mobile; four grandchildren, Christy Freeman Marcum, Kevin Freeman, Ryan Daniel, and Chelsea Daniel; two great-grandchildren; Kylee Freeman and Ashlynn Marcum; and three step-great-grandchildren, Kelsey Marcum, Cameron Marcum, and Kyle Marcum.
Pallbearers were Kevin Freeman, Ryan Daniel, Rick Marcum, Tommy Freeman, Cereal Daniel, and Tobe Sellers.
Honorary pallbearers were her Sunday School class.
Charles A. Ferguson
Atmore – Charles A. Ferguson, 73, passed away Thursday, May 5 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, May 9 at Mott &Henning Funeral Home in Athens, Ill. with the Rev. Don Neisler officiating. Graveside services were held at Joey Hall Cemetery in Athens, Ill.
Mr. Ferguson was born March 19, 1932 in Illinois, a son of Robert and Lena Glenn Ferguson. He married Donna Garmers on July 18, 1954. He was a former resident of Athens, Stonington, and Champaign He was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church and helped sponsor and organize the youth baseball league in Athens. He also coached baseball in Athens and Champaign for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting coins and watches. He is survived by his wife, Donna Ferguson; four sons, Gary Ferguson of St. Joseph, Tim Ferguson of Macomb, Christopher Ferguson of San Antonio, and Charles Ferguson of Atmore; a daughter, Lisa Ferguson of Vincennes, Ind.; a sister, Ada Bisby of Athens; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the building fund at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.
Eddie Rhodes
Pensacola – Mr. Eddie Rhodes, 66, of Atmore passed away Friday, May 6 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Funeral services were held May 12 at Turner Funeral Chapel in Atmore with Bro. Lewis Foster officiating. Graveside services followed at Lucious Cemetery in Atmore. Visitation was held May 12 at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Rhodes was a native of Newburn, Ala., and a resident of Atmore for the past three years. He was retired from Binary printing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jannie Collins, and one son, Letrey Rhodes. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Rhodes of Atmore; two daughters, Sandra Willis of St. Paul, Minn., and Tanya Lashanda Rhodes of Atmore; one son, Eddie Rhodes and his wife, Jeanie, of St. Paul, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

John Alan Hadley
Mobile – John Alan "Johnny" Hadley, 47, passed away Monday, May 9 in Mobile. Funeral services were held May 13 at Community of Christ Church with Elder Ray Eubanks officiating, Graveside services followed at Bay Minette Cemetery. The family received friends May 12 at Norris Funeral Home.
Mr. Hadley was a native and resident of Atmore, and was owner and operator of U-Do-It Pest Control. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his mother, Sue Russell Hadley of Bay Minette; his father, Arion Hadley of Atmore; two brothers, Jim Hadley and his wife, Cynthia, of Alvin, Texas, and Bobby Hadley of Atmore; one nephew, Shane Hadley of Atmore; and two nieces, Vilisa Hadley of Jacksonville, Fla., and Alece Wilson of Loxley.
Military honors were rendered at graveside by the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard unit.

Lula Mae Walton
Atmore – Mrs. Lula Mae Walton, 91, of Atmore passed away May 10 at Atmore Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Hawthorne officiating. Graveside services followed at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore.
Mrs. Walton was a native of Camden, Ala., and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a beautician. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Walton; her parents, Louis and Priscilla Bonner; two brothers, William and Jodie Bonner; and her son, Henry P. Walton, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Annie Louise Freeman of Atmore and Margerean Malone of Dayton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
