Our View
Despite the threat of Tropical Storm Arlene a large number of people participated in this year's Relay for Life.
Tents were set up, food was served and everyone seemed to have a good time despite the fact that the evening was marred by two nagging thoughts, those people in our lives we have lost to cancer, and the part of our lives that was lost to last year's hurricane, Ivan.
Ivan showed us that if we come together we can survive nearly anything. The Cancer survivors walking at Heritage Park Friday night showed us that where there's a will anything is possible.
For many of those that attended the event, the threat of Arlene served merely as a reminder of this fact.
