It took extra time, but the Atmore Christian School Rams picked up a win on Thursday defeating the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors 50-47 in overtime in Pensacola, Fla.

The Rams (7-12, 2-3) trade points with the Conquerors for four quarters before finding a way to run away in overtime.

In the first half the teams battled to a 13-13 score at the end of the first quarter. Both scored12 points in the second period to go into halftime tied at 25.

The Rams took a one-point lead in the third period as they outscored the Conquerors 7-6, but WFBA  bounced back in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 44 to force overtime.

In the extra period, the Rams stepped up their game and took advantage of their scoring opportunities to beat the Conquerors 6-3 and win the game 50-47.

Logan Boatwright led the Rams to victory posting 27 points in the win.

The Rams next game will be Jan. 21 at Gateway Academy in Bonifay, Fla.
