Cleo Stewart Vickery Presley
ATMORE – Mrs. Cleo Stewart Vickery Presley, age 86 of Cantonment, Fla., formerly of Atmore, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 in Century, Fla.
She was a homemaker, born in Little Rock, Ala on Dec. 6, 1919 to the late Charles Wesley and Annie Laura Miller Steward.
A son, Kenneth B. Vickery, precedes her in death. Survivors are: one daughter, Linda V. Cody of Cantonment, Fla.; two sisters, Luree Steward Purvis and husband, Dolphie of Pensacola and Minnie Lee Neal of Atmore; five grandchildren, Lodusky V. Glass and husband, Calvin Stephen C. Vickery and wife, JoAnna; Carl B. Vickery and wife, Gracie; Donna J. Brach and husband, Robert L. Jr.; and Denise A. Juarez; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Elder's Bennie Barnes, Glenn Wardrop and Charles McPherson officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Edna Elois (Smith) Flowers
BAY MINETTE – Mrs. Edna Elois (Smith) Flowers, age 90, born in Baldwin County, Alabama and a resident of the Phillipsville Community of Bay Minette, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006 at her residence. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter and gardener.
She is survived by: one daughter, Octavia (Almon) Tolbert of Pine Grove; one son, Dal Buford (Flora Mae) Flowers of Phillipsville; one brother, Jeffrey Smith of Atmore; two sisters, Dana Kay Nefzer of Mobile and Ruth L. Lombard of Conroe, Texas; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her husband, Sterling Edward Flowers, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held today, Jan. 18, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bay Minette Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Al Tolbert, Neal Tolbert, Clint Tolbert, Wes Tolbert, Gayland Hadley and Joey Flowers. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Ganey, Daniel Ganey, and Brandon Flowers.

Emily Mitchell Walker
ATMORE – Mrs. Emily Mitchell Walker, 78, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 in Pensacola, Fla.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Barwick, Ga., and a resident of Atmore for the past 50 years. She attended the Trinity Episcopal Church and was very active in the church and served in various offices. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and the Atmore Community Hospital.
Her husband, Carl Walker, preceded her in death. Survivors include: three sons, Hunter and Pam Walker of Pace, Fla., Jimbo and Kathy Walker of Goldsboro, N.C., and Chris and Suzanne Walker of Alabaster, Ala.; her daughter, Dollie Walker of Birmingham; six grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Mitchell and Lanny Mitchell both of Quitman, Ga; and a sister, Martha Ann and Wesley Butler of Quitman, Ga.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Sandra C. Mayer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 between 5:30 and 8 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Trinity Episcopal Memorial fund.

MARIANNA- Mrs. Willie Bell Singleton, age 88, passed away on Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Marianna, Fla. Services to be announced by the Turner Funeral Chapel.
