A local family of three was hospitalized with severe injuries following a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon according to officials.
Stephanie G. Still, 37, of Atmore, and her two passengers, husband Terry Still, 48, and one-year-old son, Luke Still, of Atmore, were southbound on Florida State Road 97 when their 2002 Nissan Pathfinder spun out of control before hitting a tree, Florida State Troopers said.
"The driver drove through standing water and lost control of the vehicle," Florida State Troopers said. "The vehicle traveled off the east shoulder of State Road 97 rotating in a clockwise manner. The left side of the vehicle collided with an Oak tree."
The accident occurred at 2:22 p.m. on State Road 97 about 800 feet north of Abramovich Road near Molino, Fla. according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver of the Pathfinder, Stephanie Still and son, Luke were in serious condition after being transported by Life Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Still's husband, Terry was listed in serious condition at West Florida Medical Center after being transported by ambulance according to state troopers.
Crews from Molino and Cantonment Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene as well as the Florida State Troopers and Atmore Ambulance.
Still is the son of Atmore residents, Meryl and Pat Still, long time owners of Atmore Appliance and Atmore Ambulance.
Terry works with his parents at Atmore Appliance and his wife Stephanie is a nurse at a Mobile Hospital.
