Opal Mae Levitt Bonner
ANNISTON – Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Mae Levitt Bonner, 86, of Anniston will be held on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Haven United Methodist Church in Anniston with Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating. Interment will be held on the Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston with Turner Funeral Chapel of Atmore directing. Mrs. Bonner was the Aunt to Councilman Louie Turner, III.
Betty Jean Sims
BOONEVILLE – Mrs. Betty Jean Sims, 67 passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Booneville. Mrs. Sims was a native of Chrysler, a former resident of McCullough, and a resident of Booneville since 1983. She attended the Holiness Church and was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lassiter, three sisters, Hattie Lou Gregson, Ruby Lee Hubbard and Rose Lee Turberville, and four brothers, Charles Edward Gregson, Willie Leslie Gregson, Raymond Douglas Gregson and Lewis O'Neil Gregson.
Survivors include: her husband, Horace E. Sims of Booneville; two sons, Thomas Edward Sims of Booneville, and Terry O'Neil Sims of McCullough; two daughters, Debbie "Sis" Albritton and Pamela Marie Godwin, both of Booneville; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Eloise Lassiter of Booneville, Margaret Gollette of Mobile, and Doris Phillips of Uriah.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Cornelius Phillips officiating. Burial followed at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
