Warriors slip past Red Sox

The United Bank Warriors erased a 5-1 deficit and emerged with a 7-6 victory over the Joey's Furniture Red Sox May 15 in Atmore Cal Ripken Major League action.
Demetric Henderson led the Warriors, going 2-for-2 at the plate with an inside-the-park home run, one double, one walk and three runs scored. Brett Helton, Dalton Daniels, Chris Macks and Jason Tolbers also scored one run in the game. Helton also hit an inside-the-park home run.
Paul Arnold and Henderson each threw three innings on the mound.
The Red Sox grabbed that 5-1 lead in the third inning with a four-run inning. Logan Smith, Austin Chafin, Coby Smith and Quentin Smedley all scored in the inning. But the Red Sox only scored two other runs, Smith scored one more and Clayton Vickrey crossed the plate in the sixth inning.
Chance Jackson threw four innings and Tanner Smith threw two innings on the mound for the Red Sox.

The game saw seven of the 10 runs scored in the third inning, but was called a tie after six innings May 15.
Jaylen Henry, Tristan McAnally, Nolan McAnally and Judd Arnold each scored one run in the fourth inning for the Tigers and Tristan McAnally added one more run in the fifth.
Dustin Wilson and Blake Quimby each threw three innings for the Tigers on the mound.
Cole Boatwright scored in the second and third innings and Jordan Sasser and Will Swartzendruber each added a run scored in the third inning for the Cards. Sasser scored one more run in the fifth inning to end the scoring.
Boatwright, Darren McGhee and Nicholas Linam all pitched for the Cardinals.
