First National Bank &Trust promotes Sonya Ellis to account service supervisor

First National Bank &Trust is pleased to announce the promotion of Sonya Ellis to account services supervisor.
A native of Atmore, she is a graduate of Escambia County High School, Jefferson Davis Community College and the American Institute of Banking. She has been active with the Alabama Banker's Young Bankers for several years.
Sonya has also been very active with Escambia Academy, volunteering her time with the Athletic Club and serving as the Varsity Cheerleader sponsor. She is married to Rob Ellis and they have one daughter, Rachel, a senior at Escambia Academy.
Sonya joined First National Bank &Trust in April of 1982. She started her banking career in bookkeeping under the guidance of supervisor, Faye Franklin. After two years, she became a teller and later worked in the areas of customer service, trust department, and loan department. Sonya has spent the last 17 and half years as secretary to the president of First National Bank &Trust.
"I'm fortunate to have worked in so many departments of the bank," Sonya said. "I feel this gives me a greater understanding of how the bank works, what everyone does and how I can serve our customers better. I'm excited to be back in account services, formerly, bookkeeping, where I began."
