Warriors drum Cardinals

The United Bank Warriors spread out 12 runs on their way to a 12-7 victory over the Atmore Lions Club Cardinals Thursday in Atmore Cal Ripken Major League action.
Brett Helton and Paul Arnold each scored three runs for the Warriors. Chris Macks scored two runs and Dalton Daniels, Demetric Henderson, Brodie Amos and Dakota Goins crossed the plate once each.
Amos and Daniels each saw time on the mound.
Jordan Sasser and Nicholas Linam each scored two runs for the Cardinals and Tanner Boatwright, Cole Boatwright and Darren McGhee each contributed one run scored.
Linam, Zach Ingram, Tanner Boatwright, McGhee and Sasser each saw some action on the mound.
Atmore Rotary Club Tigers 7 – Joey's Furniture Red Sox 6
A five-run second inning gave the Red Sox a 5-2 lead and they scored two more in the third inning to seal the win June 8.
Jaylen Henry scored two runs in the game for the Tigers and Tristan McAnally, Blake Quimby, Justin Hiebert, Judd Arnold and Bo Ramer each crossed the plate once.
Ramer, McAnally and Dustin Wilson all threw at least one inning on the mound.
The Red Sox scored two runs each in the second, fourth and fifth innings. Shelby Carter scored two runs and Logan Smith, Austin Chafin, Casey Jackson and Tanner Smith each scored one run.
Tanner Smith, Logan Smith and Jackson each saw time on the mound.
Atmore VFW Rangers 7 – First National Bank &Trust Athletics 3
A late surge in the fourth and fifth innings fueled the Rangers victory June 6. Brice McGhee, Tywon Dixon, Bo Bishop, Austin Shuttlesworth, Harold Harrison, Raheem Dyer and AJ Matthews each scored one run for the Rangers and Bishop threw a complete game on the mound.
Fred Knight, Tanner Kirk and Michael Glick scored one run apiece for the A's and Trey McGhee, Malcolm Black and Knight saw action on the mound.
Atmore Rotary Club Tigers 8 – United Bank Warriors 8
The Tigers and Warriors ended knotted at 8-8 June 6. Jon Dean and Tycorian Brown scored two runs for the Tigers and Dustin Wilson, Jaylen Henry, Judd Arnold and Justin Hiebert each crossed the plate once.
Dean and Wilson pitched on the mound for the Tigers.
For the Warriors, Brett Helton, Brandon Metzler and Demetric Henderson each scored two runs. Paul Arnold, Dalton Daniels and Brodie Amos each contributed one run scored.
Henderson and Helton each saw time on the mound.
Minor League
Kirk Insurance Agency Tigers 10 – Ziebach &Webb Timber Company Yankees 7
The Tigers scored at least two runs in every inning except the final inning in their win over the Yanks June 8 in Atmore Cal Ripken Minor League action.
John P. Sawyer, Nate Smith and Houston Westbrook each scored two runs for the Tigers. Clay Walker, Melik McMillan, Brandon Beachy and Derik Kidd each crossed the plate once.
Joseph Ferrell scored two runs and Bradley Geck, Drake Hamilton, Thomas Rolin, Aaron Salter and Carlos McNeil each scored one run for the Yankees.
Atmore Vision Center Cardinals 6 – Chuck Stevens Automotive Cubs 3
The first inning and the third inning were the productive ones for the Cards in their June 8 victory.
Tadd Wall, Devante Stevens, Steven Wilson and Phillip Myrick each scored one run in the first inning and Robin Swift and Xan McGhee scored one run in the second inning for the Cardinals.
Jake Leachman, Jacolby Ulmer and Tristen Agerton each scored one run in the second inning for the Cubs.
Kirk Insurance Agency Tigers 11 – Swift Supply Lions 10
The Tigers crept away from the barnburner with the Lions June 6. John P. Sawyer and Melik McMillan each scored two runs for the Tigers. Tristan Brown, Clay Walker, Garrett Kirk, Brandon Beachy, Houston Westbrook, Denver Shuttlesworth and Tacrorius Shavers each contributed one run scored.
The Lions got two runs scored by Billy Powell and Kelton Wooten and one run scored from D'Andrez McCarthy, Ben Hubert, Larry Pugh, Jamey Vaughn, Travious Lucas and Jacob Esser.
Atmore Vision Center Cardinals 13 – Jerry's Alignment Center Braves 12
The Cardinals outlasted the Braves in this slugfest for the victory Tuesday. Robin Swift, Xan McGhee, Devante Stephens, Steven Wilson and Phillip Myrick each scored two runs for the Cardinals. Tadd Wall, Trae Thompson and Eric Robinson each crossed the plate once.
The Braves scored all but one of their runs in the first two innings. Arri Torres, Scottie Lambert, Hunter Sherause, Alex Rice, Marcus Brooks, Jadarius Brown, Austin Hadley and Dalton Tolbert came across the plate in the first inning.
Torres, Sherause and Rice crossed in the second inning and Jacob Gibbs scored one run in the sixth inning.
