Maxwell, Haley and Castleberry and the Fern Bell Agency announced recently that the two companies have agreed to a merger.
He said Maxwell, Haley and Castleberry should be able to attract additional insurance carriers to the Atmore area as the company grows.
Castleberry said Maxwell, Haley and Castleberry customers will benefit from this merger by having a larger number of professional agents to service their insurance needs.
According to Castleberry, Jeff Bell of the Fern Bell Agency will be joining the Maxwell, Haley and Castleberry team.
Although the Fern Bell Agency has been serving the Atmore area for many years, it hasn't been involved in the real estate market for some time. That will change with the merger.
Castleberry said the experience Bell brings to the table will be an asset as the two companies join forces.
He said Safeco is excited about the changes the merger means for the two companies and the Atmore area.
Castleberry said he would like to invite all of Fern Bell's customers to visit Jeff at his new location and to meet the staff at Maxwell, Haley and Castleberry.
Following the merger, Maxwell Haley and Castleberry will represent Allstate, CNA, Hartford, Safeco and Progressive insurance company.
