Mr. Lewis Howard Brooks, 69, died Sunday, October 29, 2000 at home. He had been a resident of Atmore for the past 20 years and a former resident of Frisco City. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the AARP, American Legion Post 188 in Bay Minette and a veteran of the Korean conflict.
Mr. Brooks is survived by four brothers, Fred F. Brooks of Monroeville, Heber C. Brooks, Sr., of Molino, Sam Brooks of Frisco City and Frank H. Brooks of Mobile; two sisters, Sybil V. Johnson of Goodway and Liller Mae Johnson of Mobile and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Milledge Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Brook's Cemetery in Megargel, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Danny Brooks, Dennis Cole, Joe Dale, Ikner, Fred Brooks, Jr., Michael Brooks, John Claude "Buster" Hardin, Roy Lampley and Ray McKinley.
