Tennis players in Atmore will soon have a new surface to serve on.
Monday afternoon, the Atmore City Council approved the lone bid received for resurfacing the tennis courts at both Tom Byrne Park and Houston Avery Park. The bid accepted was for $20,182 from American Tennis Courts, Inc.
According to mayor Howard Shell, the bid is "very reasonable".
