Eva Mae Dole
CENTURY, FLA. – Mrs. Eva Mae Dole, 95, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in Century, Fla.
Mrs. Dole was a native of Bratt, Fla., a resident of Century, Fla. for most of her life and attended the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Dole, a daughter, Eva Jo Dole, two sons, Dickie Dole and Edwin Dole, a grandson, Farron Davis, her parents, Ollie and Amanda Hanks Gilley, and two brothers, Angus K. Gilley and Olin M. Gilley.
Survivors include, her son, Charles W. "Billy" Dole of Century, Fla.; her daughter, Myra Jean (Dole) and Charles Steadham of Atmore; one daughter-in-law, Carol T. Dole of Century, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, James S. Gilley of Century, Fla., W.T. Gilley of Cantonment, Fla.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Shelton Kindig and Rev. Ray Johnson officiating.
Burial followed at the Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation was held Friday, April 13, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Eric Steadham, Dale Steadham, Kevin Bryan, Kenny Davis, Bobby Franklin, Bobby Franklin, and Tracy Steadham.
Ricky O'Neal English
ATMORE – Ricky O'Neal (Sick Rick) English, a native of Atmore was born on July 11, 1963 to Elizabeth Stallworth- English and Lewis English, Sr.
He exchanged mortal life for immortality on April 6, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, one daughter, one son, Orlando Jones and Jesha Jones; four brothers, Willie C. English of Pascagoula, Miss., Billy G. English, Louis (Kathy) English, Jr., Darrin L. (Katrina) English, all of Atmore; two sisters, Patrice English of Birmingham, and Tara E. English of Atmore; four uncles, nine aunts; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and an especially good friend, Patick Moore.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Liberty Church with Bro. Tim Wetzel officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Louis English, Jr., Darrin English, Billy English, and Willie English.
Flowerbearers were friends and family.

Louie Lee Hadley
PERDIDO – Mr. Louie Lee Hadley, 82, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at a Baldwin County hospital.
Mr. Hadley was a native and lifelong resident of Perdido, a veteran of WWII, a member of the VFW, and retired from the Alabama Drydock and Shipbuiding Company. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Allen and a granddaughter, Christi Schmidt.
Survivors include, his wife of 58 years, Mamie L. Hadley of Perdido; four sons, Roger Hadley, Ronald Hadley, Joseph Hadley, and Brian Hadley, all of Perdido; three daughters, Patsy Newhart and Peggy McDuffie, both of Perdido, and Janice Williams of Nokomis; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his brother, Syluce Lee Hadley of Houston, Texas; and five sisters, Lelia Mosley of Lottie, Eunice Stewart of Rabun, Geneva Smith of Chickasaw, Shirley Peacock and Toni Roberts, both of Bay Minette.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Welch officiating.
Burial followed at the Bryars-McGill cemetery.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Cox, Casey Williams, Josey Hadley, Nio Hadley, Wayne Coleman, and Skip Lynam.
Honorary pallbearer was Ricky Mitchem.
Hester Ree Presley Martino
ATMORE – Ms. Hester Ree Presley Martino, 84, of Atmore died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Born in Mobile on Sept. 27, 1922 to Fredrick David Stein and Angie Kelly Stein.
Ms. Martino worked as a lace cutter for Vanity Fair Mills. Preceded in death by a daughter, Lucy Hurtt, a son, Jimmy Lee Presley, two sisters, Betty Colbert, Annie Rackard, one brother, David Fredrick Stein, II.
Survivors include, five daughters, Sadie Holder of Frisco City, Rosa Chiasson of Pasadena, Texas, Lois Rollin Of Atmore, Cathaleen Wall s of Atmore, Janice Andrews of Monroeville; one sister, Edith Gibson of Mobile; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Ward officiating.
Burial followed at the New Home Cemetery in Poarch.
Visitation was held Friday, April 13, 2007 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Jackson, Robert Malone, Tommy Rolin, Eddie Wayne Merritt, James Wall, Jr., Jason Barfield.

ATMORE – Mrs. Edna McCorvey, 100, of Atmore died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Atmore Nursing Center. Christian Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Lee Phillips
ATMORE – Mr. Robert Lee Phillips, 55, of Atmore died Thursday, April 12, 2007. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.

Carl Ray Turberville
PERDIDO – Mr. Carl Ray Turberville, 51, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in Perdido.
Mr. Turberville was a native of Uriah, a former resident of Atmore, a resident of Perdido for the past six months and attended the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Turberville, and a sister, Eloise Turberville.
Survivors include, his mother, Anna Mar Turberville of Uriah; his son, Brian Turberville of Nokomis; his daughter, Stacie Hyatt of Perdido; five stepsons; a stepdaughter; 13 grandchildren; five brothers, Elbert Turberville of Monroeville, Wesley Turberville, Floyd Turberville, Arnold Turberville, and Michael Turberville, all of Uriah; and three sisters, Francis Phillips of Uriah, Earnestine Browning of Huxford, and JoAnn Taylor of Uriah.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Cornelius Phillips officiating.
Burial followed at the Uriah Cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Lelia Williams
ATMORE – Mrs. Mary Lelia Williams, 84, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. She was a native of Red Level and a resident of Atmore for many years.
A member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church and she was on the usher board and was an Eastern Star.
She retired from Escambia County High School as a dietitian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Williams, and her parents, Cornelia and Dempsey Porter.
Survivors include: four daughters, Mary Ann (Willie) Boykins of Glen Cole, N.Y., Lillie Boykins and Janet (Ollie) Williams, both of Atmore, Shirley (Leon) Polnitz of Pensacola, Fla.; two sons, Jimmy (Ruby) Boykin of Herndon, Va. And Eddie Rothchild of Minneapolis, MN; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with Rev. Willie Hawthorne officiating.
Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Public viewing was held Friday, April 13, 2007 from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the chapel.
