Escambia County’s boys and girls track teams showed improvement in their meet Thursday at T.R. Miller High School in Brewton.

The teams were a part of an eight-team meet at T.R. Miller where they finished behind all of their opponents in March.

This time, both teams made strides with the boys finishing in sixth place with 30 points. They finished behind T.R. Miller (150), Hillcrest (95), W.S. Neal (83), Monroe County (71) and J.U. Blacksher (56). Opp (12) and Florala (10) placed behind ECHS.

On the girls end of the meet, the Lady Blue Devils finished in third place with 38 points. T.R. Miller won the event with 206 points, while Blacksher finished in second with 77 points. W.S. Neal (36), Monroe County (28), Hillcrest (25), Florala (25) and Opp (0) rounded out the rest of the field.

The Blue Devils next track meet will be at T.R. Miller High School in Brewton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20.
