Raven Culliver dominated batters and kept the Escambia County Lady Blue Devils softball team in many games. Culliver may have ended the season with a 7-11 record, but she struck out 82 hitters and only walked 15 in 110 innings of work in 2007.
These statistics earned Culliver the title of 2007 Atmore Advance Softball Player of the Year. Culliver will have two chances to defend her title, as she is a sophomore at ECHS.
As the main pitcher for the Lady Blue Devils Culliver found herself in many jams, but most of the time she was able to get out of them with a strikeout. She lost many close games during the 2007 season.
