Crowds will once again descend on Atmore’s Tom Byrne Park Tomorrow for the annual Mayfest celebration, sponsored by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce and this year’s festival should be one for the books chamber director Sheryl Vickery said.
Food vendors, arts and crafts tents, musical entertainment, rides and plenty of other activities are slated to get started at 9 a.m. sharp Saturday and the fun will continue all day, wrapping up at 5 p.m.

At 9:45 the fun will continue with the Beautiful Baby contest featuring local children ages three months to three years of age.
At noon headlining musical band Shane Harrell and the Major Moves will play the first of two sets for the day, with their second performance coming at 2:30 p.m. Lana Langford, Lifelong Worship Band, Willie Hawthorne and Reed and Bradley Barlett will also perform throughout the day.
Vickery said she would like to invite everyone to come and join in the fun of Mayfest.
