Russell H. "Rusty" Harrison

Mr. Russell H. "Rusty" Harrison, 46, of Atmore died Sunday, December 17, 2000, at his residence.
He was a native and life long resident of Atmore. He was a Sargeant for Atmore Police Department and served as a police officer for 19 years. He was a former assistant Fire Chief for the City of Atmore and a member of the Board for Escambia County E-911. He was a former Military Police officer in the Marine Corps where he received numerous honors and awards. He was also Military Police Aid to vice-president Nelson Rockerfeller. He was an ordained minister and evangelist of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Edna Earl Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, LuCindy Davis Harrison of Atmore; his father, Leroy Harrison of Atmore; three sons, Rusty Harrison II of Kensaw, Ga., Cary Jordan and his wife, Brenda, of Davisville and Chris Edwards of Bratt; a daughter, Morgan Harrison of Excel; a brother, Douglas C. "Dusty" Harrison and his wife, Denise, of Greenville; a sister, Rita Dianne "Susie" McGhee and her husband, Gerry, of Atmore; three grandchildren, Tori Jordan, Toby Jordan and Andrew Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20 at 1 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center with Bro. Richard Daniels officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
Johnson-Quimby Fubneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
