Mother Clementine Milton Bishop
ATMORE – Mother Clementine Milton Bishop, 90, of Atmore died on Aug. 17, 2007 at Atmore Community Hospital. She was a faithful member of the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church in Atmore, where she was the "Church Mother." Prior to relocating back to Atmore in the 1980s she and her husband were residents of Birmingham.
Her husband, Mr. Louis Bishop, her parents, A.D. and Gertrude Milton Sr, one sister, Annie R. Thames and one brother, Mr. Simon Milton all preceded Mrs. Bishop in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one brother, Mr. A.D Milton Jr. of Atmore; a host of nieces and nephews, adopted son and Pastor Bishop Willie L. Williams and the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church Family and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 at the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Bishop Willie L. Williams officiated. Interment followed in the Stallworth cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC was in charge of all arrangements.
Eloise (Lindsey) Orem
BREWTON – Mrs. Eloise (Lindsey) Orem, 75, born in Brewton and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday Aug. 23, 2007 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. She was a retired seamstress with Manor Slack.
Survivors include, her husband, Millard D. Orem Jr., of Bay Minette; one son, Millard (Paula S.) Orem III,of Opelika; 3 daughters, Wanda Lou Orem (William A. Jr.) Gorum of Atmore; Patricia Gail Orem of Robertsdale; Vickie Darlene Orem of Troy; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey Marie Gorum of Mobile; William Aaron Gorum of Atmore and Megan Christine Gorum of Atmore; one brother, Wesley Lindsey of Denver Colo. and one sister Barbara Stokes of Century, Fla.
Funeral services were held at 11 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 25, 2007 at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family received friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 at Norris Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were, William Aaron Gorum, Tommy Garner, Chris Garner, Jimmy Stokes, J.W. Gafford and Kevin Lanham.
Norris Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Eula Mae Scott Dean
PERDIDO – Mrs. Eula Mae Scott Dean, 80, born in Bay Minette and a resident of Perdido died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at Century Health Care Center in Century, Fla. She was a retired seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills in Atmore.
Survivors include: her sons, Randolph Scott of Bay Minette; Edward Scott of Silverhill; one daughter, Karen Lott of Davisville, Fla.; ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one brother, Alton Stewart of Mobile; one sister, Etta Fay Faulkner of Creola.
Her husband, Jack Dempsey Scott, her son, Dennis Scott, grandson, Kenneth Earl Johnson, three brothers, Curtis Stewart, Glenn Stewart, and Doughlan Stewart, and her parents, Charlie and Estelle Stewart all preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Perdido Baptist cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at Norris Funeral Home.
