Dr. Steven Glenn Weekley
ATMORE – Dr. Steven Glenn Weekley, age 59, of Hendersonville, passed away on Sept. 11, 2007. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born and raised in Perdido. His father, Arthur Weekley, mother, Beulah Weekley and brother-in law, Tom Harville preceded him in death. Survivors include, his wife of 39 years, Cathy Weekley, children, Amy (Brady) Cooper, Melinda (Richard) Ryan, and Jarrod Weekley, grandchildren, Will Cooper, Clay Cooper, Evie Ryan, Bryant Ryan, and Jake Ryan, brothers, James Weekley and Marvin Weekley, sister, Leila Harville. He pastored First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, Tenn., from 1987 to 2007, First Baptist Church of Jasper from 1983 to 1987, First Baptist Church of Fayette from 1979 to 1983, First Baptist Church Colbert Heights from 1975 to 1979, Tabernacle Baptist Church of Pickton, TX, from 1972 to 1975, First Southern Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals from 1970 to 1972, and Lee Heights Baptist Church of Florence from 1966 to 1970. He was a member of Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, Alabama Baptist Executive Committee, President of Alabama Baptist pastor's conference – 1984, Trustee of Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and Children's Home, Tennessee Baptist Convention and member of Southern Baptist Convention Committee on nomination 2007-2008. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Perdido. Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Perdido. Mr. Weekley will lie in state at the church Friday morning from 9 a.m. until service.

Peggy Patricia Palmer Daniels
BAY MINETTE – Sunrise for Sister Peggy Patricia Palmer Daniels began in Sept. 26, 1968 when she was born to Joseph and Myrse Palmer. Sunset came on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007.
Peggy accepted Christ in her life in 2002 at Jesus Christ Holy Temple. She later moved to Jerusalem Holiness Church.
Peggy was the mother of six children, three girls and three boys. She was married to David Daniels on Dec. 3, 1998.
Her father, Joseph Palmer, her grandparents, Nathaniel and Sally Palmer and Floyd and Joyce Williams all preceded her in death.
Peggy leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, who stayed by her side, David Daniels, three sons, Joseph, Joshua and Devoris Palmer, three daughters, Brittney, Sharee, and Tarashay Palmer all of Bay Minette; two grandchildren, Tyqazious Palmer and Zainyea Gray of Bay Minette; a step daughter, Martha (Orlanda) Boggan of Bay Minette; a step son, Darrell (Monique) Gandy of Ga.; her mother, Myrse Palmer of Bay Minette; six sisters, Nicki (Clarence) Gray, Leslie, Weonia, Cynthia, Consequela and Victoria Palmer all of Bay Minette; one brother, Christopher Palmer of Bay Minette; special friends, Bruce Faulkner, Eddie Lee Bradley, Bob Daniels, Ray Vone Daniels, Waretta Green, a special brother in law Jessie Daniels, and Geraldine Johnson all of Bay Minette; 6 aunts, Betty (Jessie) Jeminson, Rebekiah Palmer, Jean Dortch, Sandra (Walter) Woodrow, Shirley Anderson, and Betty Williams, 6 uncles, Tommy, Bobby, Johnny (Cathy) Palmer, Larry (Gloria) Williams, James Williams, and James A. Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Home Going Celebration took place at 12 noon Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at the New Jerusalem Holiness Church with Pastor Bishop Charles Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Crossroad cemetery in Bromely.
Pallbearers were, Ray Vone Daniels, Robert Daniels, Julius Faulkener, Steven Adams, Harman Morris, and Timothy Andres.
Flowerbearers were, Margie Robinson, Veronica Brown, Cynthia Bradley and Kemie Adams.

Clyde Milstead
LOTTIE – Mr. Clyde Milsted, 68, of Lottie, died Sept. 13, 2007 at a Mobile Hospital. Mr. Milstead was retired from the Sate Highway Department in Baldwin County. One grandson, James Rocky Milstead preceded him in death. Survivors include, two sons, Stanley Clyde (Anita) Milstead of Bay Minette; Rocky (Rebecca) Milstead of Mobile; two brothers, Leslie Milstead of Bay Minette; Carl Milstead of Gulf Shores; six grandchildren, Shane (Mary) Milstead, Timothy Milstead, Levi Milstead, Christin Milstead, Joyce Rewis, and David Rewis, two great grandchildren, Damieon Wilson and Alex Owens, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at the Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. William Rolin, and speaker Linda Shiver officiating. Burial will follow at the Milstead cemetery in Lottie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, at the Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time.
