Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Downs, 82, of Flomaton died Saturday, January 20, 2001, at Brewton Hospital.
She was a native of Falco and lived most of her life in Flomaton. She had served as a Lieutenant in the Cadet Nurse Corp and was a retired nurse at Abernethy Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Flomaton First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ben Downs and her son, Jimmy Miller.
Mrs. Downs is survived by two sons, David Rolin Brooks and his wife, Michelle, of East Brewton and William B. Downs and his wife, Joan, of Brewton; a daughter, Carol Bryant and her husband, Jim, of Flomaton and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 23 at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Lough and the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating.
Burial was at Beulah Cemetery.
Flomaton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
