Carney Lodge downs PCI by 11

Carney Lodge completely dominated Poarch Creek Indians Monday night in Babe Ruth action, knocking off PCI easily in a 12-1 victory.
Carney Lodge jumped out to an early start scoring first runs from Brett Gorum, Nate Smith and Kianoa Gumapac to take a 3-0 lead.
Chris Fay found home plate in the second inning for what would be PCI’s only score of the evening. Carney Lodge, however, continued their scoring spree in the second inning with a second run from Gorum and a score by J.P. Sawyer. Third inning scores for Carney Lodge came off the bats of Kianoa Gumapac, Kevin Gumapc and Ryan Johnson.
Carney Lodge finished PCI off in the fourth quarter, netting a third score from both Gorum and Kianoa Gumapac, a second run by Smith and a run from Trey McGhee to give the team the 21-1 win.
Babe Ruth action will continue Thursday night at Tom Byrne Park in Atmore with Carney Lodge taking on Jerry’s Alignment Center at 5:30 p.m. followed by Atmore Utilities Board battling Flomaton at 7:30 p.m.
