Mary Catherine Roberts Robinson
ATMORE – Mary Catherine Roberts Robinson, 81, of Atmore died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a homemaker, born in McCullough on Nov. 29, 1925 to the late William Gay and Florala Wilson Roberts, a member of My Father's House Baptist Church.
Her husband, Edward S. Robinson preceded her in death.
Survivors include, one daughter, Teresa Terry Kaye Robinson of Atmore; one sister, Robbie Lee Betterton of Berrydale, Fla.; a brother in law, James Robinson and sister in law, Linda Robinson of Atmore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 from Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allan Harp officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill cemetery.
Family received friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home.

Leonard "Buddy" Goodwin
CENTURY, Fla. – Mr. Leonard "Buddy" Goodwin passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 in Century, Fla.
Mr. Goodwin was a native of Atmore and a resident of Century, Fla. since 1956, a retired custodian from Century High School after 31 years of service and attended the Faith Bible Baptist Church.
His parents, Sherrel and Gladys Goodwin and a sister, Annie Arcola Goodwin each preceded him in death.
Survivors include, two sisters, Christine Black of Century, Fla. and Luvirn Mathis of Atmore and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. C.L. Langford and the Rev. Gene Stokes officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ronald Mosley, Paul Black, Allen Black, Douglas Black, Frank Luker and Jeremy Lee.
J.B. Lane
ATMORE – Mr. J.B. Lane of Atmore died Wednesday, Nov.21, 2007 at his residence. He was retired from Vanity Fair Mills, as a Dye House Operator, born in Escambia County on Aug. 28, 1923 to the late Edward Cruit and Nacey Dreadin Lane Sr.
His wife, Eloise Salter Lee preceded him in death.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 from Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Walsh and Bro. Bob Gibson officiating.
Interment will follow in Enon Baptist cemetery.

Marilyn J. Gorum
HUXFORD – Mrs. Marilyn J. Gorum, 54 of Huxford died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a C O 1 with Alabama Department of Corrections, also serving in the United States Army, born on July 10, 1953 at Camp Lejuene, N.C. to the late Eugene C. and Jeanne Marie McNaugton Boissoneau.
Survivors include, her husband, Gilbert Gorum of Huxford; one son, Josh G. Gorum and wife, Dana C. of Clanton, Ga.; two brothers, Edward Eugene Boissoneau of Rathdrum, Hawaii and Gerald Gene Boissoneau of Kapolie, Hawaii; one sister, Marie Jeanne Boyer of Lewiston, Idaho; one grandchild, Chase A. Gorum of Canton, Ga. and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 in Huxford Baptist cemetery with the Rev. Gregg Sayler officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Will Hines, Ryan Gorum, Logan Gorum, B.J. Weldon, Aaron Weldon and Daniel Gorum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Gunn, Cy Perkins and John Murray Ikner.
Family received friends from 2 p.m. until graveside service Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at Huxford Baptist Church.
