Shockers claim first win, Flames improve to 2-0

The Shockers (1-0-1) edged the James Gang (0-2) Monday night in Atmore T-ball action with a 17-15 win.
Four players, including Jaylen Black, Austin Walker, Deonta Stotts and Jeffery Wilson, each finished with three hits to pace the Shockers’ offense. Black, Walker and Stotts each scored three times. Wilson crossed the plate twice.
Khedsia Craft, Christian Cox, Jalen Martin, Jacobey James, Aldric Johnson and Dijon Crenshaw all finished with two hits.
Bryant Quimby led the James Gang with three RBI and three runs scored. Caleb Gregson also finished with three RBI and scored twice. Matthew Ray and Dylan Purvis each had three RBI.
Sam Smith, Azyiah Sanders, Logan Chavers and Jack Edwards each scored twice.
Blue Flames 15
Falcons 6
The Blue Flames (2-0) followed up their 23-6 Opening Day win over the James Gang with a 15-6 win over the Falcons (0-1-1) Monday night.
Louie Turner and James Lewis led the Blue Flames at the plate. Turner finished the night with a home run, single and one run scored. Lewis finished with two doubles and crossed the plate twice.
Evan Tatum also had a good night at the dish with a double, single and two runs scored. Michael Stokes, Tyler Rolin, Chance James, Sarah Nelson, Randall Bonds and Caleb White chipped with two hits each for the Blue Flames.
Reagan Chance, Jabe Dawe and Devin Wooten led the Falcons with two hits each. Chance finished with two runs scored and Spence and Dawe each crossed the plate once.
Tucker Spence, Tatiana Kirk, Mitchell Faulk, Harley Walker, Garret Chance and Dylan Wallace finished the night with one hit each.
