Finding Atmore’s ‘Heroes’

A hero does not necessarily have to be a person who pulls someone from a burning building, administers CPR on someone to save their life or someone who jumps in front of a moving vehicle to push a stranger out of harm’s way. All of these are heroic acts, but being a hero can be simpler.
The American Red Cross is hosting its “Heroes” campaign in Atmore in order to raise money in case disaster strikes.
Atmore’s American Red Cross “Heroes” will work together to raise money for the organization.
June 6 marks the “Heroes” campaign kickoff. Area “Heroes” are invited to Atmore Community Hospital at 7 a.m. for food and socialization.
To become a “Hero,” whether it is money or time that you can donate, call the local Red Cross chapter at 368-3643.
