Flowers leads Greenlawn to big victory over Poarch

Nick Flowers led Greenlawn Home Health to a 13-2 victory over Poarch on June 5 as he went 2-for-4 with two singles and scored three runs in the victory.
Keaton Maher and Coty Merchant combined for two hits and four runs for Greenlawn.
Justin Davis and Aaron Smedley scored both of Poarch’s runs in the first inning.
Pepsi 5
Greenlawn 5
Rarely does a tie occur in baseball; really almost never does this get accomplished. The last one seen live was the 7-7 tie at the MLB All-Star Game in 2002. That is until the 5-5 game between Greenlawn and Pepsi on June 3.
Marshall Rolin led the way for Pepsi getting two hits, while scoring two runs. Jaylen Henry and Logan Smith were each walked and scored in the third inning. The other Pepsi run came when Ty Randolph crossed home.
Greenlawn started off strong scoring four of their five runs in the first inning. Tanner Kirk hit 2-for-3 with two singles and a run scored.
The other Greenlawn runs came from Coty Merchant who scored twice, Keaton Maher and Christian Swartzendruber.
Pepsi 19
Poarch 1
Ty Randolph picked up a win in a crushing 19-1 victory over Poarch on June 2.
Randolph pitched a complete game striking out seven batters.
Marshall Rolin went 4-for-4 with four runs scored in the contest. Other runs were scored by Nick Linam, Logan Smith, Josh Peoples and Tyler Boatwright.
Elliot Faircloth scored the only run for Poarch in the sixth inning.
Poarch 13
Evergreen Red 12
A tight contest was fought between Poarch and Evergreen Red on May 31 with Poarch coming out on top 13-12.
Chance Jackson picked up the win in the last inning and struck out four batters.
Quenton S. scored three runs for Evergreen and went 1-for-2 on the day with a single.
Monroeville 17
Poarch 6
Gabe Dees and Peyton Powell led the offensive attack for Monroeville in a lopsided 17-6 win over Poarch on May 31.
Dees went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while Powell went 2-for-4 with two runs. Other runs were scored by Tanner Smith, Grant Norris, Trevor Benson and Trent Benson.
Chance Jackson took the loss for Poarch after giving up 10 runs in four innings.
Quentin Smedley went 2-for-3 for Poarch and scored one run. The other Poarch runs were scored by Darren McGhee, Justin Stabler, Aaron Smedley and Cole Whatley.
Monroeville 14
Greenlawn 7
Gabe Dees pitched two innings striking out three and walking one to pick a victory for Monroeville 14-7 over Greenlawn Home Health on May 31.
The Monroeville offense was led by Trent Benson who scored three times. Trevor Benson, Grant Norris, Tanner Smith and Peyton Powell scored the other runs.
Christian Swartzendruber who went 1-for-3, but scored three runs to lead Greenlawn.
Greenlawn 12
Poarch 3
Three runs in the fifth inning was not enough for Poarch to beat Greenlawn Home Health on May 30. Poarch lost 12-3 after giving up 11 runs prior to scoring.
Nick Flowers led all Monroeville batters with three runs scored after being hit by two pitches and one base on balls.
Haden McGill scored twice on the day for Monroeville, while going 2-for-3 on the day.
Aaron Smedley, Brian Rolin and Ryan McGhee are the Poarch runners who scored.
