ATMORE - Mr. John Fitzgerald “Fritz” Watson, 45, of Atmore died suddenly on Sept. 15, 2008 at Atmore Community Hospital following a gunshot wound. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. He was a graduate of Escambia County High School Class of 1981 and was a member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.
His parents, Willie Q. and Claude Watson Sr.; his sister, Nell Virginia Carter; his brother, Hayward Davison; grandparents, Grover and Susie Watson and grandmother, Adell Harris, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories one sister, Patricia Gandy of Detroit, Mich. and three brothers, Claude (Jackie) Watson Jr. of Atmore, C-Nell Knotts of Pensacola, Fla. and Vincent Harris of Hartford, Con.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Hawthorne, pastor, officiating. Internment was held in the Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, and LLC of Atmore directing.
