Seven juveniles admit to vandalism

Seven juveniles from the Atmore and Walnut Hill areas have turned themselves in and pleaded guilty for the vandalism that occurred at Escambia Academy.
The incident happened between Sunday, Sept. 21 and Monday, Sept. 22.
The case will be turned over to the Juvenile Court for prosecution. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office along with the Atmore Police Department and the Alabama State Troopers investigated the case.
Sheriff Grover Smith stated, “I would like to express my appreciation to Investigator Sgt. Matthew Hammon, Investigator Janet Haveard, Atmore Police Department Investigator Chuck Brooks, Alabama State Trooper J. Dean, Juvenile Probation Officer John Fountain, Escambia Academy Head Master Betty Warren and Escambia County High School Principal Harvey Means.
